We take a look at how our development players are getting on

Shrewsbury Town’s youngsters enjoyed an up and down weekend as they continue to progress away from the club.

Shaun Rowley was the pick of the bunch as he kept a clean sheet in Chorley’s 2-0 win over Gainsborough Trinity.

Rowley made a string of fine saves and was also trampled on as Chorley maintained their third place spot in the National League North.
Callum Grogan was involved in a pulsating 2-2 draw at the weekend.

Radcliffe Borough twice came from behind to equalise, whilst there were also two red cards in the game.

Meanwhile, Kaiman Anderson didn’t manage to get his name on the scoresheet this weekend as he was involved in a 7 goal thriller in the Buildbase FA Trophy.

Halesowen were 2-0 down to Blyth Spartans at half-time, but rallied after the break to lead 3-2 with just 10 minutes to go, former Town man Jay Denny with one of the goals.

However, Spartans scored twice in the final few minutes, including a 90th minute winner as they won 4-3 and reached the next round of the competition.

On the international stage, Jayson Leutwiler made his first appearance for Canada on Friday as they lost 2-0 against South Korea.

The goalkeeper came on for the second half, keeping a clean sheet in the process.

Finally, Ryan McGivern was on the bench for Northern Ireland as they beat Azerbaijan 4-0.
