Loan Update

31 October 2016

We take a look at how our development players are getting on

Shrewsbury Town's younger squad members continue to develop out on loan.

This weekend saw Shaun Rowley join Chorley who are flying high in the National League North.

The Lancashire side drew 2-2 with Alfreton on Saturday, with Rowley starting the game just hours after making the move.

It was a good test for Rowley against a strong and competitve side in Alfreton, but sadly Chorley couldn't hold onto a 2-0 advantage against 10-man Alfreton, who scored twice in the final 5 minutes.

Kaiman Anderson played his part in Halesowen Town's 2-1 victory over Rushall Olympic in the FA Trophy.

Although the young striker failed to score on Saturday he caused constant problems for the Rushall defence all afternoon.

Callum Grogan's afternoon was cut short when Radcliffe Borough goalkeeper Matty Johnson suffered a horrific leg break causing the game against Colne FC to be abandoned. Shrewsbury Town would like to with Johnson a swift recovery from his injury.

Meanwhile, Ethan Jones returned from injury as a 90th minute substitute for Tranmere Rovers in their 4-1 win over Dover Athletic.
