LADIES: Team of the Month

Ladies and RTC name their team of the month for January

2018 has seen a pleasing start for all the age groups. After only one fixture weekend in December, the club were determined to make the most of the New Year. The ladies had a rocky start away to Leek before picking up good results after this. The under 12’s have started with futsal fixtures showing pleasing performances from the first round of games. The under 14’s have again shown pleasing progress, narrowly losing out to Wolves in the last five minutes of the game. Meanwhile the under 16’s opened the year with a home draw to Aston Villa, Ffion James put Town into the lead early in the first half.

Team of the month

F Vitale (U16)
A pleasing return to the under 16’s after spending most of the first phase of the season on the recovery table, however this hasn’t phased her in her return.

B Lewis (U16)
Lewis gets her second time in the team of the month after a pleasing month of performances in the under 16’s age group.

A Price (U14)
Strong centre half who has been leading the team well from the back over the course of the last month.

S Corns (U12)
A versatile player who has played a number of positions over the course of the season. Her continued performances have earned her place in team of the month for January.

P Jones (U12)
Been showing really good progress once again and is consistently performing within games and training.

I Reading (U14)
Reading has been selected to represent Wales under 15’s in this weekends fixtures versus Scotland.

T Chase (U16)
Chase represented the ladies in their cup victory against Atherstone after being called up after pleasing performances for the under 16’s in January.

D Garett (Ladies)
Garett has hit the ground running since coming back after the Christmas break. Her consistent performance has seen her inclusion in the team of the month for January.

F James (U16)
James got herself on the scoresheet against Aston Villa, putting Town ahead in the first half.

L Russell-Anslow (U12)
Worked hard over the past month working on her new position which she has made her own.

C Budd (Ladies)
Pleasing performance for the ladies, leading the line up top for Town, getting on the score sheet twice against Brereton in a 5-0 win.
