Minutes Applause

Remembering Ken Mulhearn and Leo Joseph Riley prior to the AFC Wimbledon game

Shrewsbury Town can announce that they will be holding a minutes applause prior to Saturday's game against AFC Wimbledon in memory of Ken Mulhearn and Joe Riley's son, Leo Joseph.

After consultation with Ken’s family, a minutes applause will take place prior to kick off.

Ken Mulhearn passed away a couple of weeks ago at the age of 72. Ken made over 350 appearances for the club during a nine year spell at Gay Meadow as a player. He then remained in the town after finishing his playing career and worked alongside our hospitality and commercial teams on matchday.

We were also saddened to hear of Joe Riley and his partner Kayleigh’s tragic loss of their baby boy Leo Joseph who was stillborn a couple of weeks ago.

All of our thoughts are with the two families at this sad time.
