Supporters To Name Bar At The Community Football Hub
Shrewsbury Town in the Community are taking over the Power League facility at Montgomery Waters Meadow, it will be known as the Community Football Hub. The hub will operate throughout the year and will include the use of the Community pitches, the bar area will be available for functions throughout the week as well as its use as a Supporters bar on match days.
As many of you will already know the Supporters Parliament are overseeing the naming of the bar and recently ran on online poll for supporters to vote for or nominate their own preferred choice for the name. Nearly 500 votes were received and it became clear that there were two clearly preferred names from the original five, plus many of you opted to request the bar named after lifelong supporter Chris Smith.
Following discussions with the football club we have decided to close the original vote and open a new vote with just the three most popular choices, this way we believe that this will give us the most popular name for the bar.
The three options you can choose from are:
Turner’s
Blue Amber Bar
Smithy’s Bar
The vote will re-open from 9am on Thursday 24th January and will close at midnight on Wednesday 30th January.
Please note that all previous votes will not be carried over so please ensure you vote again for your preferred choice of name.
Please ensure you include your full name and supporter number as incomplete submissions will not be included.
