Andy Morrell settling in as No 2

Muzzah happy to be part of Jacko's team

Shrewsbury Town's new assistant manager Andy Morrell is settling into his new surroundings and enjoying working alongside Mike Jackson once again.

They were team mates in a successful Blackpool side earlier in their careers and Morrell has plenty of respect for the Town boss.

The former Wrexham manager said: “There are two captains that I would say have been the best two that I have worked under and Jacko was one of them.

"He was an ultimate professional, very organised in what he did, and he looked after himself.

“He does everything properly, the way it should be done, and a lot of the players have bought into that already so long may it continue and let's get some results.”

Morrell added he was fully behind Jacko and looking forward to building a close working relationship.

He said: “I have told Jacko that if I am going to come in, I will give him my opinion.

“I’ll tell him what I think but if he decides to go another way I will fully back his decision - and that’s the way it should be.”
