Young keeper travels to Italy with U18s

Young goalkeeper Harry Lewis has been selected for the England U18's squad for their upcoming trip to play Italy.

The game takes place at the Stadio “Giovanni Chiggiato”in Caorle, Italy on Wednesday 24th September with a 3pm kick-off, Harry will join up with the squad on Saturday 20th before flying out to Italy to prepare for the game.

It's a big honour for Harry and for the club to see the promising youngsters once again picked to take part in one of the England sides.  He has already been involved with England youth squads and this is the latest call-up.

Harry stepped up from Town's academy this season to begin his first year with the youth side.

Speaking after the youth sides 1-0 win over Accrington Stanley Town's head of youth Ian Dawes praised Harry's attitude and potential:”It's great for Harry and a lot of people are expecting a lot from him even thought it's his first year in the programme.

“He's dealing with that well and settling into full time football really well.

“He has the right attributes to be right up there and I haven't seen a better goalkeeper around at his level, he just needs to keep his focus, his mentality and remember it won't just happen tomorrow.”
