Sam Foley returns to Yeovil Town

Glovers recall Foley ahead of their Championship run in

Yeovil Town have recalled Sam Foley from his loan spell with Shrewsbury Town.

The Glovers are looking to stay in the Championship and with a number of injuries manager Gary Johnson has made the decision to invoke the 24 hour recall clause.

The news comes a blow for manager Mike Jackson as he prepares his side for Friday’s important game with Crewe:”I had a call from Sam yesterday saying that he had spoken to Gary Johnson about going back as they have a few injuries.

“They are also thinking towards next season and I had a conversation with Gary and he said he’s like Sam back there.

“It’s not ideal for us but we wish Sam well and thank him for what he’s done during his time here, he’s been great around the place, he’s a good character, a great lad and i hope he goes back there and it works out.

“I always knew the reason they allowed him to come was because of the 24 hour recall but that is the nature of taking loans, and one of the problems of loans”

Jacko does have other options though with the return to fitness of Tom Bradshaw and with Asa Hall returning from suspension ahead of the game.
