Macca Goes Out On Loan

16 October 2014

Dave McAllister off to Stevenage for a month

Dave McAllister has joined fellow Sky Bet League 2 side on a month’s loan to hopefully get some first team football.

Macca had an operation at the end of last season which meant he missed out on pre-season but he has been back in training for a while now but hasn’t managed to get any games.  The form of midfielders Ryan Woods, James Wesolowski and Liam Lawrence has meant Macca’s chances have been limited.

Town manager Micky Mellon exclusively revealed in this week’s #AskMicky that he would allow Macca and fellow midfielder Aaron Wildig out on loan and Stevenage have come in to take McAllister.

Micky hopes the loan move will allow Macca to get some first team football:”It’s a good move for Macca and one which will hopefully see him play some games.

“He is an experience player and really needs to be playing games now that he is fully recovered from his operation.

“Stevenage have a busy month and this should see Macca get his chance.

“We will be monitoring his progress closely and keeping tabs on how well he is doing.”
