South Stand sponsorship renewed for 2 years
One of the country’s best-known caravan dealerships has given Shrewsbury Town Football Club a vote of confidence following promotion to League One.
Salop Leisure, which is based at Emstrey, Shrewsbury, has renewed its sponsorship of the South Stand at the club’s Greenhous Stadium for a further two years and is looking forward to the new season.
The south stand carries branding to promote the company’s name and its marketing slogan ‘Go Explore!’.
“We are proud to be associated with Shrewsbury Town Football Club and its fantastic stadium,” said Salop Leisure’s chairman Tony Bywater. “The renewed sponsorship agreement will help to promote Salop Leisure to both a local and national audience as well as supporting the club.
“We have been delighted with the positive way our sponsorship of the stand has been accepted by club officials and supporters. Supporters have welcomed the fact that such a well-established local company, which has been based in Shrewsbury for more than 45 years, is supporting the club.
“Everyone at Salop Leisure congratulates the chairman Roland Wycherley, manager Graham Turner and the players for their promotion to League One. We feel confident that, with the new signings that have been made, the club will have another successful season.”
Salop Leisure employs 140 staff and has won a series of awards over the years for sales and customer service.
Richard Hill, Shrewsbury Town's commercial development manager, said: "The club are proud to maintain their relationship with Salop Leisure. The relationship has been mutually beneficial and long may it continue to be."
