Winfield all set for Posh test

Dave expecting tough test at London Road

Defender Dave Winfield is under no illusions that Shrewsbury Town can expect a tough test at Darren Ferguson's Peterborough United tomorrow.

The Posh are riding high in League One and have been scoring plenty of goals.

But Town will head to London Road in good spirits following last weekend's impressive 2-0 victory over Gillingham.

"It is a tough game but we'll prepare right and we'll go there looking to do a job," said Winfield. Everyone's excited to go out and play.

"They've done well and have got some good threats in their team. We'll be looking to try and nullify them as much as possible."

Winfield was pleased to play his part in helping Town keep a clean sheet against the Gills and he's hungry for lots more shut outs to make Shrewsbury hard to beat.

"Every game we prepare differently for but we'll go and try and put our game plan together," added Winfield, now keen to enjoy a run in the side after a stop-start opening to his Greenhous Meadow career.

"You're going out there to win three points, that's the view from both sides, and we'll try and do our best and what we've been training for."
