Theo Barge joins up with Micky Mellon’s new look Shrewsbury Town
Micky Mellon has unveiled the latest addition to his squad with 4 year old Theo Barge making his debut appearance at the club’s annual photocall.Shrewsbury born Theo was on hand to meet his new team mates and pick up his kit at the Greenhous Meadow. Town have a long history of bringing through young players and Theo is the latest to make it to the first team.
Theo was the winner of the annual raffle to win a place in the Shrewsbury Town squad and has been very excited since learning the news a couple of weeks ago.
His dad Richard was with Theo and the rest of his family and revealed that it was a great experience for the youngster:” We were delighted when we found out Theo had won the competition, and he’s been so excited since then.
“The whole experience was fantastic, the way we were welcomed, Theo getting fitted for his kit in the club shop, and all the staff and players were great with Theo and really made his day.
“We’ve been given some brilliant pictures too, and we can’t wait for August 16th when Theo will lead the team out against Tranmere Rovers, look out for squad number 99! “
