Shrewsbury Town offering Business Breakfast Meetings
James Motley is Shrewsbury Town’s Hospitality Manager and he spoke to ShrewsWeb about the business breakfast service that the hospitality team offer.The business breakfasts are events run by the hospitality team which begin at 6am, where business professionals come to network and have a meal before their normal working day starts.
Running these events mean Town’s hospitality team have to be very flexible with their hours and James told ShrewsWeb: “That’s hospitality.
“We work the hours that we have to do, and if that means we have to work six or seven days a week – we do.”
James works closely with his deputy, Terry Rollins, and the Hospitality Supervisor Jose Viera.
He said: “Terry and Jose help me out massively – along with the rest of the staff.”
James said one of the club’s pulls as a hospitality venue is its unique status as a football club.
“The beauty about us here – we’re the only place in Shrewsbury which can offer a football club as a venue.
“People like that – it’s a huge advantage to us because it’s unique. We’ll have the curtains drawn in the Sovereign Suite and you can see right out onto the pitch – and people are drawn to that.”
The team can also offer its clients special sweeteners such as stadium tours, which simply are not an option for other hospitality providers in the area.
