Erhun Oztumer then wrapped up victory for the home side in the 88th minute with a fine finish, before Bayayoko picked up a second booking in injury time to ensure both sides finished with 10 men.
The sides met twice in League One last season too.
The Saddlers came away with three points in the second match between the sides as they won a hard fought game 2-1.
Morris and Rico Henry gave Walsall a 2-0 half time lead, before Mat Sadler pulled one back for Town on the hour mark, but it was not enough to stop the home side claiming the win.
Walsall also came out on top in the first match of the season as they beat Town 3-1 at the Greenhous Meadow.
Larnell Cole gave Town the lead in the 40th minute, before Milan Lalkovic struck back in the closing moments of the first period.
Ian Black then saw red for Town after picking up a second booking in the 71st minute, before Paul Downing netted with 10 minutes left and Jordan Cook scored in injury time to give the Saddlers all three points.
The sides previous meeting before the 2015/16 season came in 2014, as they met twice in the FA Cup.
In the replay of the tie Town beat their derby rivals 1-0 thanks to a second half goal from Liam Lawrence before Adam Chambers received his marching orders late on for Walsall.
In the initial FA Cup tie between the sides at The Banks Stadium they drew 2-2 in an entertaining encounter.
Mark Ellis and James Collins netted for Town, while former Shrewsbury star Tom Bradshaw scored a brace to take the game to a replay.
