Leutwiler wins second Canada cap

Jayson Leutwiler won his second cap for Canada last night in their one-all draw against Scotland.

Town’s number one came on as a half-time substitute with the score already at 1-1 and kept a second half clean sheet.

Canada had gone in front after 11 minutes when Fraser Aird produced a fine finish after poor defending from the hosts.

Scotland equalised 10 minutes before the break when Steven Naismith capitalised on some lax Canadian defending to finish with his left foot.

Both sides struggled to create chances in the second half although Jayson was forced to keep out a powerful effort from Barry Bannan.

The second half clean sheet means that Jayson is yet to concede for Canada after keeping a clean sheet on his debut against South Korea back in November 2016.
