Young 'keeper plays for Wales U15s

Shrewsbury Town U15 goalkeeper Luke Burton gained a further two international caps against European giants Germany in a double fixture last week.

In the first game, Luke came on as a second half substitute in a 5-1 Wales defeat.

In the second and final game of the programme, Luke started and made several good saves in a narrow 3-0 defeat.

Luke is the brother of Town 'keeper Callum Burton who is currently out on loan at Nuneaton Town.

Lead Youth Development Phase Coach U13 - U16, Callum McKenzie, was delighted to see Luke involved:
"Luke has worked extremely hard after suffering a serious knee injury in the 2014-2015 season where he missed almost a full season of academy football," said Callum.
"Luke sets an excellent example to all of our younger age group goalkeepers and shows what you can achieve if you are focused and prepared to work hard.
"It goes without saying how proud we are of him within the academy programme. Well done Luke."
