Micky Mellon delighted with the loan signing of Jack Grimmer

Shrewsbury Town boss Micky Mellon talked of his delight after securing Jack Grimmer on loan until the end of the season.
The 22 year old Fulham defender has impressed Micky in his previous two loans at the club and the Gaffer is now looking forward to working with him for a longer period.
“It speaks for itself when you get somebody back for a third term,” Micky told ShrewsWeb.
“It’s a no brainer to say that he’s a player I rate very highly. He’s a character that I rate very highly, so I’m just delighted to get him back into the football club again.”
“I think the fans will be delighted. I think we were a bit short on numbers at the back and he’s somebody that we’ve wanted to get back in and Jack was desperate to get back so it’s a win, win situation for everybody at the football club.”
Jack can play in a number of positions and will provide Micky with different options.
“I’ve been thinking for a long time that I want to go a certain way with the group and Jack will probably enable me to go that way,” said Micky.
“I don’t want to be reckless because I want to do something that the club has not done for a long time and that’s to be a consecutive League One football club.”
“I’ve certainly got the player that I believe we can play a certain way, an expansive way and entertain in a way that I want to see the game being played.”
“He can play third centre back, he can play wingback, he’s a winner, he’s a great kid to have around about the place and he handles the level very comfortably. “
“I’m delighted that we’ve got him in again I’m grateful to Fulham for allowing us to have him again, but Jack was a big driver in making sure that happened.”
