Town welcomed Rochdale for the re-arranged league match and at the final whistle they probably wished the game was still to be re-arranged.
Looking to build on their win away to Tranmere in the previous game Town went into the game missing a few of the older players who were training with the first team.
In the end Town just didn’t turn up and once Rochdale got their first goal they looked odds on to take the points. Three goals in each half for Rochdale was the difference with Dave Easthope getting a consolation for Town.
After the game Head of Academy Steve Reece was very disappointed with the teams display:”“I don’t mind being out played, I don’t mind being out classed but what I can’t accept is being outworked.
“Take nothing away from Rochdale as they are a good side but on the day we didn’t turn up and weren’t in the game.”
