Cast your vote for the new Shrewsbury Town badge

Shrewsbury Town recently announced that following the results of a vote carried out on the clubs behalf by the Supporters Parliament Town fan’s had voted for a change to the current club badge.

Since the announcement the club and the Supporters Parliament have been working together on possible designs.  The Supporters Parliament held an open meeting last week for fans to come and discuss possible designs for the new badge and the feedback from this meeting was very positive.

The club are now pleased to release the four designs that fans will vote on to be Shrewsbury Town’s badge from the 2015/16 season.

Chairman Roland Wycherley has agreed that the designs go out to the fans to vote on and the initial searches have confirmed that the new designs are able to be copywrited by the club.

Town chief executive Matt Williams said:”It has been good to be able to sit down with the Supporters Parliament and work hand in hand with them to create a badge that the Shrewsbury Town fans will take to their hearts.

“We believe we have come up with four designs that Town fans will be happy with and now it is their chance to help shape the clubs history.

“Once the votes are collected the winner will be announced and we will start the process to kick off the 2015/16 with the new badge on the players shirts.

“Micky Mellon has put together a team that the fans can be proud of and now we hope that the supporters will choose a badge to be proud of as well.”
