Bahrudin Atajic's Shrewsbury Ambition

New striker looking forward to getting his chance at Town

News broke this morning that Shrewsbury Town had brought in Celtic forward Bahrudin Atajic on loan until the end of the season.

It will bolster Mike Jackson’s squad as they prepare for the important looking away trip at Swindon Town.

Bahrudin was born in Sweden but moved on from Malmo to Celtic in January 2010 and has been knocking in some spectacular goals in the development squad there.  He sat down with the press this morning and started by talking about his recent first senior goals for Celtic:”I came on against Motherwell earlier in the season for the lasts 12 minutes and managed to score a goal.

“It was my first senior goal and obviously I was delighted with that.

“It’s tough to break into the team as they can buy strikers but you have to work away and if you do that then you will get your rewards”

From a quick look at YouTube it shows that Bahrudin knows where the goal is but he insists that he can also create and bring a lot more than just goals to the Shrewsbury team:”I like to score goals but I’ve got more to my game other than goals, I can also create them and am an all round player.

“It’s not for me to say but people say I’m a good technical direct player who likes to attack.”

He has made appearances for the Celtic first team both this season and last season and know has come out on loan to get some more first team experience.  He’s hoping he will get that chance at Shrewsbury and help the club climb back up the Sky Bet League 1 table:”I need first team experience so I’ve come here to achieve that and score the goals to help the club stay up.

“I’m ambitious and want to do as well as I can and if I can help Shrewsbury then I will.

“I’m here to improve my game and to win games, if I score a goal and we lose then that goal means nothing.

“Clubs go through spells of form and I’m sure we will turn it around.”
