Dave Mc on course for return to pre-season in just over a week
Dave McAllister is making good progress from his recent ankle operation and is not expected to miss much of Shrewsbury Town's pre-season training programme.
The Irishman missed the final eight matches last season after picking up an injury in the closing stages of the 2-1 home win against Bradford City in March.
But the former Sheffield United midfielder has worked closely with physio Chris Skitt and should be able to join in with the squad soon.
Chris said: "Macca's doing really. It was something that we decided to get done in the off season so he didn't lose too much time in pre-season and the season itself.
"Macca's in the gym daily now so he's getting his fitness back and we're also trying to work the ankle just to get him right to jump back into training which shouldn't be too far off the start of pre-season.
"He should probably only lose about a week, 10 days."
