Tom Eaves signs on loan

Striker returns to Town for second spell

Graham Turner has brought in striker Tom Eaves on loan from Bolton Wanderers, his second capture of the day, before today's emergency loan window deadline on a deal until January 4.

Eaves, just like Cameron Gayle, the right back who has returned to the Greenhous Meadow on loan from West Bromwich Albion, already knows the set up at Shrewsbury well.

The powerful 21-year-old enjoyed a successful loan spell with Town towards the end of last season in which he scored six goals in ten matches.

The highlight was a fine hat-trick at home to Crawley on Easter Monday while he also scored a quality double to set up an exciting 3-2 away win at MK Dons.

Eaves, who has recently spent time on loan at Rotherham United, will wear the number 24 shirt, just like he did for Shrewsbury last season.

Graham Turner said he was pleased to have brought back Eaves and that he would increase his options up front.

Eaves is available for Saturday's trip to Stevenage.
