New dates announced for early and mid August
Shrewsbury Town Community Sports Trust are pleased to announce two brand new dates for the Girls Only Soccer Schools this summer.Two new soccer schools will now run on 4th and 5th August, and 18th and 19th August.
The cost of the course is £12 per day for girls aged 8-14, and it will run from 9am to 3pm at the Powerleague at the Greenhous Meadow.
Aiden Wassell, Lead on Womens and Girls Football Development, said: "It's great that the girls have a course to themselves where they can hone their skills against each other.
"These Girls Only Soccer Schools are the only ones of this type that cater to the needs of female footballers within Shropshire.
"The sessions are open to girls of every ability so come along and have a go."
The country has seen a rise in the popularity of girls football within recent months.
Shrewsbury Town Community Sports Trust now deliver the FFD (Female Football Development) programme in partnership with the Football League Trust and FA in the Shropshire area.
This funding allows the CST to offer exit routes for girls after schools football, and this has been highlighted from the recent successful launch of the Shrewsbury Town Girls Development Squads.
These squads train weekly at Shrewsbury College of Arts and Technology and will play a number of games during the upcoming season.
