R E Brown Builders are the first lounge sponsor at the Greenhous Meadow
Lifelong Shrewsbury Town fan Ron Brown, the managing director of R E Brown Builders Ltd, is proud that his company are the new sponsors of the Arthur Rowley Lounge at the Greenhous Meadow.Ron has been heavily involved with the club for many years. He first sponsored Shrewsbury Town in the late 1980s when he also helped out in the Blue Room at the club's old Gay Meadow home.
“I was privileged enough to have seen the great Arthur Rowley play back in the '60s and was always in awe of what he achieved," said Ron.
"When I first started talking to the club about the opportunity of potentially sponsoring the lounge and having R E Brown Builders Ltd affiliated with such a club legend as Arthur, it made perfect sense to do so.”
This is the first time that any lounge at the Greenhous Meadow has been sponsored, representative of a new era the club is entering.
Shrewsbury Town's commercial development manager Richard Hill said: "I’ve got to know Ron really well over the last couple of years and have always loved his enthusiasm for the club.
"The potential of this club is huge and Ron recognises this too. The club is honoured to be supported by so many local businesses and we thank Ron and R E Builders Ltd for their support.”
