Hector Back At Reading

7 November 2012

Young defender has returned to parent club to train

Young loanee Michael Hector has returned to his parent club Reading to train and play reserves games.

Michael has shown what great potential he has as a player during his time with Town but currently he hasn’t been involved in the first team squad.

Manager Graham Turner has spoken to Michael and to Reading FC and it’s been agreed that he will return to the Premiership club to train and get in some reserves team games.

Michael’s loan a Town isn’t up until the end of January so he remains a Shrewsbury Town player and could potentially be involved once again at Town:”I believe Michael has the potential to be a decent central defender and a decent player.”, said Graham Turner

“The circumstances have been though that he has made one or two mistakes that have proved to be costly for us.

“I had a chat with him about the situation and at present he’s better off playing in Reading’s reserve side rather than ours.

“We decided that he would go back to Reading to train and to play a few games.

“He does catch the eye with his reading of the game, his coming out with the ball and his passing it but one or two of the more basic duties he’s shown that little lack of experience.”
