Sky's man of the match Goldson thought's after Luton draw

Shrewsbury defender Connor Goldson felt it was a crucial point gained in the race for promotion after ten-man as they battled to a goalless draw at Luton Town.

Goldson saw team-mate Nathaniel Knight-Percival dismissed after 70 minutes for picking up two bookings in quick succession and had to undergo an onslaught of pressure by the home side in the final stages.

“We came here for three points but when you get a man sent we knew it was going to be a difficult so we’ll take a point,” said Sky Sports Man of the Match Goldson.

“We knew we would be up against it when we went down to ten men but we said to each other to lets just keep a clean sheet like we have done throughout the season and that’s what we did.

“As a back four we want to keep a clean sheet. It’s a good point for us and we’ll now move on and get ready for next Saturday.”

The 0-0 result moved Luton up one place to fourth whilst Shrewsbury stay in the automatic places in third with 45 points from 25 games played.
