Decisions Made On Second-Year Scholars

The Club would like to thank those not offered professional contracts for their hard work during their two-year scholarship and wish them the best of luck in the future.

"It's always a tough process.

"The lads have been a credit to themselves and the Club. They're worked really hard to get this far and it's unfortunate that there is no pathway for them here.

"This is not the end for them, this is only the beginning. The last two years has helped them setup hopefully a career in football somewhere.

"They have their BTEC education behind them and a lot of them are looking at scholarships in the United States of America, so that education will help them with their applications.

"We hope they all reach the maximum level they can. They have always represented Shrewsbury Town in the right way."

The following second-year scholars have not been offered professional contracts:

The youth team have enjoyed a strong 2015/16 season which currenlty sees them fourth in the Football League Youth Alliance - North West league table while they have also reached the Football League Youth Alliance Cup Final.

Ethan Jones, who signed a professional contract with the Club in October, is the only second-year scholar for the 2015/16 season who has been offered professional terms at Greenhous Meadow.

Shrewsbury Town can confirm that decisions have been made for the Club's second-year scholars.
