Abu has signed up for the new season with Shrewsbury Town, have you?
"There's big teams in League One like Millwall and Sheffield United," he said.

"There's a little bit of a break for a few weeks but then I'll be ready to come back for pre-season."

Ogogo, who played against the Shrews many times in the past, is now looking forward to facing off against reputable clubs in League One next season.

"I've been to Shrewsbury a few times and came up and met the manager and the chairman," said Ogogo.

"There were a few clubs involved and I wanted to take my time and make sure I made the right decision.

"After having a chat with the manager, I went home, thought about it and feel I have made the right decision.

"It will be the first time I've moved away from home but it will be a good experience.

"I was at Dagenham for six years and thought it was time in my career that I moved on.

"I started off there as a right back but have played in midfield in the past few seasons.

"I'm still only 25 but I've played over 250 games now."

And Ogogo, a former Arsenal player, is now looking forward to the experience of life in Shropshire and Town's challenge in the third tier of English football.

The 25-year-old, who was captain for Dagenham & Redbridge in Sky Bet League 2 last season, takes on a new challenge at the Greenhous Meadow after putting pen to paper on a deal on Monday afternoon.

Shrewsbury Town are delighted to announce the signing of midfielder Abu Ogogo on a two-year contract.
