Striker Visits Morda Primary School And Hope House

"We would like to thank both Morda CofE Primary School and Hope House Children's Hospice for allowing us to come down." Jamie Edwards, Shrewsbury Town Community Sports Trust manager, commented:

"It was really nice to have Andy here and the children were really inspired by what he had to say.

"He's a very lively lad and the kids responded well to him. I'm sure it will have a good impact on their attitudes to a healthy lifestyle."

"He gave us some good advice about how to get a good night's sleep, how important sleep is and how important a healthy diet is. John Eglin, head teacher at Morda CofE Primary School, said:

Mangan, the ambassador for Shrewsbury Town Community Sports Trust's 'True Shrew' challenge, then went over to Hope House for a few hours of fun with Tash and Joseph - two children from the Hospice.

The Liverpudlian started his afternoon by speaking to the pupils at the primary school about being a professional footballer, the importance of sleep and a healthy diet before taking questions and signing autographs for the children.

Shrewsbury Town forward Andy Mangan enjoyed visiting both Morda Church of England Primary School and Hope House Children's Hospice on Monday afternoon.
