And Cissa finished the game off late on by poking beyond Bannister after being found by Hudson's superb pass.

But the home side grabbed Bradford's second in style when substitute Ellis Hudson sped into the Town box on the left, skipped over the sliding challenges and chipped the ball beyond Bannister.

Both teams searched for a winner. Ethan Jones saw a spectacular long range drive tipped over one-handed by Bantams goalkeeper Joe Cracknell.

At the other end, Bannister got down to his near post well to turn Morais fierce drive behind for a corner.

The Bantams got the second half underway. Gallagher almost fired Town in front with 55 minutes on the clock as he turned onto his right foot, 25 yards out, and his shot flew just wide of the right post.
HALF-TIME: Bradord City 1-1 Shrewsbury Town

However, Ethan Jones equalised seven minutes before the break as he found space on the left and his cross went in off Omolokun.

But Wright found the target in the 34th minute to give Bradford the lead as he shot low into the bottom right corner from 20 yards out.

Devine then tried his luck from the edge of the box and his effort flew just wide of the top right corner.

The Bantams thought they had the lead a minute later but Chris Gallagher blocked an effort on the Shrewsbury goal line.

Town goalkeeper Charlie Bannister was called into action ten minutes later as he tipped Filipe Morais' 20-yard strike around his near post.

Town got the game underway at the Coral Windows Stadium in heavy rain. Bradford went close to taking the lead in the 14th minute when Sumaili Cissa teed up Sam Wright to shoot in the penalty area but the latter's effort flew over the target.

FIRST HALF

Goals from Sam Wright, Ellis Hudson and Sumaili Cissa were enough to give the Bantams, who started the match with six professionals on the pitch, all three points despite Ethan Jones' first-half equaliser for Town.

Shrewsbury Town slipped to defeat at Bradford City in their last Final Third Development League - West Division fixture of the season.
