CST Host Football Tournament At Greenhous Meadow

"We would like to thank all of the teams that took part in the Men United v Prostate Cancer tournament on the day.

"It was an enjoyable day for all and we would also like to thank everyone for their donations to Prostate Cancer UK."

Aiden Wassel, Shrewsbury Town Community Sports Trust's health and inclusion officer, said:

Shrewsbury Town Community Sports Trust were selected as one of only six Football League clubs across the country by the Football League Trust to host a Men United v Prostate Cancer UK tournament.

Ivory Toast were the eventual winners of the competition as they beat Borussia Munchenflapjack 2-0 in the final.

A men's tournament then followed in the afternoon with ten teams all looking to win their groups and the tournament overall.

The morning kicked-off with a non-competitive tournament for under-8s, 9s and 11s teams, with the young children all relishing the opportunity to play of the pitch at the Shrewsbury Town stadium.

Adults and children alike enjoyed a fun-filled day at the Shrewsbury Town Community Sports Trust's Men United v Prostate Cancer football tournament at the Greenhous Meadow on Sunday.
