Defender determined to prove his worth
"It will be a great experience to get some league games and hopefully help the team as much as I can and do well here," said Randall."There's a lot of good players so it won't be easy to get in the team. I've got to do as much as I can in training to show the gaffer that I can get in there, and if I do get in then I can do a lot to help the team out.
"It's a great team that plays really good football so I'm looking forward to it.
"We had a friendly not too long ago in Shrewsbury and it was a good test, and luckily I impressed them.
"It's only a month, the initial loan, so I'll do as much as I can while I'm here and hopefully start on Saturday (against Stevenage)."
Randall was on the bench for Saturday's 3-0 home win over Hartlepool United but is hoping to break into Micky's starting line-up as soon as possible, with Town's next game being at home to Stevenage on 24 January.
"I came down and trained on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, and I really enjoyed it," said Randall.
"It has been a good experience coming down here. I signed on Friday afternoon, was on the bench on Saturday and it was good to see the stadium and all of the fans. I thought the lads put a good performance in.
"The gaffer just said come down, train with us and see how you feel. As soon as I was down here I knew that I would be happy to come.
"I've really enjoyed it. They're all good lads and there is good quality in training, and I'm looking forward to helping the team as much as I can.
"All of the lads have been great with me and I feel very welcome. There's a few scousers coming down with me so it's been good."
And the Liverpool-born defender insists he has been made to feel very welcome at the Greenhous Meadow.
An England youth international, Randall was previously captain of Liverpool's under-18s side and made an appearance for the first team in a friendly win at Shamrock Rovers at the end of the 2013/14 season.
The 19-year-old, who plays as a right wing back, was spotted by Town manager Micky Mellon in a recent friendly between the Shrews and the Reds and has signed a one-month loan deal with the Club.
