Jacqueline Jossa Joins Celebrity Match On Sunday

Shrewsbury Town's Greenhous Meadow is hosting a celebrity football match in aid of PDSA on Sunday 30 August (3pm kick-off) with a whole host of stars announced for the game. 

Players confirmed so far include Calum Best, Shayne Ward (Soapstar/X Factor), Jacqueline Jossa (Soapstar), James Arthur, Harley (Rizzle Kicks), Jake Wood (Soapstar), Dan Osborne (Towie), Jay James (X Factor), Little Chris (Towie), Joshua Ritchie (love Island), Max Morley (Love Island), Jordan Ring (Love Island), Tubes (Soccer am), Franky Fryer (Soccer am), Luke Friend (X Factor), Darren Everest (The Overtones), Dane Bowers (Big Reunion), Harvey (So solid), Nathan Cleverly (Boxer), Dean Gaffney (Soapstar), Nev Wiltshire (Call Centre), Sam Evans (Big Brother Winner), Danny Boy Hatchard (Soap Star), Jamie Borthwick (Soap Star), Micky Brown, Dean Spink, Lee Taylor, Ashley Ward (Ex Derby), Derek Redmond, Tom Kilbey, Dean Edwards and Sam Evans. 

The two sides are managed by Lee Latchford Evans from Steps, assisted by Jacqueline Jossa, and Real Housewives of Cheshire star Dawn Ward. 

A number of ex-Shrewsbury Town stars have also been added to the line-ups with Micky Brown, Dean Spink, Darren Currie and Lee Taylor being the first to be confirmed.

The interest for the game has been high since it was announced and Twitter chat has been high from fans looking forward to seeing their heroes in action.

Tickets cost £10 for adults and £2 for under 16s. VIP packages are also available, with the opportunity to meet-and-greet the players.

Tickets are available from the Shrewsbury Town FC Box Office.

Car parking at the ground will be £5. 

All proceeds from ticket sales will go to funding PDSA’s veterinary services in the Shropshire.
