Ethan Jones On Youth Cup Final

20 April 2016

Striker Looking For More Meadow Success

“Hopefully we can end it on a high and get some silverwear,” added Jones.

“It would be great to add another trophy to the collection and hopefully a goal.”

And Jones, who has recently turned 18, wants to add another trophy to his collection before he makes the step up into Micky Mellon’s first-team squad next season.

“The team is buzzing,” said Jones.

“We’ve been picking up some good results recently so going into Wednesday everyone is confident and hopefully it’s going to be a good occasion for everyone.

“Hopefully there will be a good crowd that will come down and cheer us on because we don’t get too many chances to play on the pitch so it’ll be a great experience for everyone.”

And Jones, who signed his first professional contract with the Club earlier in the season, believes everyone is looking forward to the highly-anticipated match.

Town entertain the Hatters in the final on Wednesday evening at Greenhous Meadow (7pm kick-off) looking to add the trophy to the Shropshire Senior Cup already won this season.

Young striker Ethan Jones is determined to end the season with another trophy when Shrewsbury Town host Luton Athletic in the Football League Youth Alliance Cup final.
