FFD festival organiser Peter Wilson commented on the success of the festival.
Meole Brace came out as the eventual winners in a very closely encountered contest.
So far, the programme within the county as engaged over 250 girls, with over 50 of those present at the festival.
The sessions culminated in a festival where the girls could have a chance to play in a competitive environment.
The community team has delivered a ten-week coaching block to eight schools from across the county and borders area at schools including, Ercall Wood, Charlton, Hadley Learning Community, Adcote, Lacon Child, Bridgenorth Endowed, Welshpool High and Meole Brace.
FFD sessions are aimed at 14-25 year-olds, in cohesion with County FAs, Schools, Colleges and Universities to engage with fresh participants, as part of the new FA Women’s and Girls’ programme.
