Grandison On Oxford Clash

19 March 2015

Defender Concentrating On His Side's Performance

"I remember going past one player, cutting past another into the box, doing two stepovers and then hitting it into the bottom corner," he said.

"It's the second best goal I've scored. My best one was against Port Vale a few seasons ago.

"I thought the overall team performance was excellent."

Grandison described his goal at Morecambe in midweek as the second best of his career.

"We're going into every game to win it, and we're going to try to win the league," said Grandison.

"We've got to keep pushing in every game because everyone is going to want to try and beat us.

"I'm not thinking about what Oxford are going to do, I'm concentrating on ourselves and making sure we win the game.

"We know we can win every game now for the rest of the season."

And Grandison, who scored Shrews' third goal against the Shrimps at the Globe Arena on Tuesday night, insists the squad are continuing to push themselves.

Town take on the U's at the Greenhous Meadow this weekend (3pm kick-off) looking to make it back-to-back wins after the 4-1 victory at Morecambe in midweek.

Defender Jermaine Grandison maintains that Shrewsbury Town are trying to win Sky Bet League 2 and insists he is concentrating on his own team's performance against Oxford United on Saturday.
