Grandison Signs New Deal

7 August 2015

Defender Agrees New One-Year Contract With Club

"I feel ready to go. All of the new lads have bonded and gelled together, so we're ready to start the season," he said.

"After last season, we all want to do well again and have a successful season.

"We've had really good players come in and, with the players that were already here, we've got a really good chance.

"Everyone's raring to go and we're looking forward to showing everyone how good we are."

With the new Sky Bet League 1 season set to start against Millwall at Greenhous Meadow on Saturday, Grandison believes the Club can have another successful year.
"It's finally sorted now, just in time for the season," said Grandison.

"I can't wait for tomorrow's game and hopefully a successful season again.

"On both parts we've been having quite a few discussions and we were waiting for the budget to be sorted for me to be able to sign.

"I've been here since I was young and hopefully we can have a good season."

And Grandison, who played 42 times for Town in all competitions last season, is now looking forward to getting the season underway.

The 24-year-old, who has been with Shrewsbury since 2011, put pen to paper on a new contract on Friday morning.

Shrewsbury Town are delighted to announce that defender Jermaine Grandison has signed a new one-year deal with the Club.
