Jordan Clark On Blackpool Clash

Midfielder Believe First Home League Win Will Come

“We are trying to keep our spirits high after the defeat to Crewe,” said Clark.

“We played some really good stuff but we couldn’t finish it off.

"I had a lot of good chances and I have been working a lot this week on my finishing to improve

"When you lose it isn’t nice and I become very miserable so I am hoping to turn that round with three points on the weekend.

"We have been working on a few things in training this week such as the runs we make to try and improve going forward.

"It is all little intricate changes but it should help us to make our own luck and get that win we are looking for.

"Me and Larnell Cole need to get in the box a little bit more. I am working well with him, we have clicked together.

"I have known him in the past and he is a very good player, it won’t be long until he gets his first goal.

"We try and support the midfielders and just be a nuisance to the opposition as much as we can.”

And Clark, who had the best chance which hit the crossbar against the Alex, admits he has been working to improve his finishing in training.

Town created enough chances in the game against Crewe last weekend to take at least a point from the game.
"I really think our first home league win will come on Saturday against Blackpool," said Clark.

"We go into every game wanting to win and believing we can do so.

"People think Blackpool will be easy because they are bottom of the league but it won’t because this league is very tough.”

“Looking back on last year we did make our home ground a fortress. Teams were scared to face us at home and I think when we get the first home win in this league we can kick on and become more of a dominant side at home again.”

Although Clark feel it will be a tough game against Neil McDonald’s side despite their position at the bottom of the table.

Town have yet to pick up a victory at Greenhous Meadow in Sky Bet League 1 this season but will be looking to change that when the Seasiders visit at the weekend (3pm kick-off).

Midfielder Jordan Clark is confident Shrewsbury Town can pick up their first league home win of the season against Blackpool on Saturday.
