- Lawrence looking forward to Tranmere test
- Town conclude pre-season schedule on Saturday
- Captain also gearing up for big game against Millwall
And the Town midfielder is confident the Club will have a good upcoming season in the third tier of English football.
"He'll probably be looking at that on Saturday now (potential team for Millwall) and through to next week, and different formations and shape," said Lawrence.
"The lads are looking fit and sharp in the games that we've played and I think we've put on some good performances.
"It's a big game (against Millwall).
"I've been in a lot of games involving Millwall. They're quite a big club and they'll bring a lot of fans and be very vocal.
"It will be a tough game. It always is against Millwall."
And Lawrence believes manager Micky Mellon will be using Saturday's game to prepare for the visit of The Lions.
Town will kick-off their 2015/16 league schedule on August 8 at home to Millwall - who were relegated from the Championship last season.
"There's one more against Tranmere which will be a totally different game to some of the games we've played but we're looking forward to it," said the Town skipper.
"We know what to expect from Tranmere from last year so it's going to be a bit different to playing teams like Wolves and Cardiff.
"They'll be decent, probably better than last year and with Mangan up front which should be interesting, but it will be good to see him again."
And Lawrence is also looking forward to seeing a familiar face at the game on Saturday - former Shrewsbury forward Andy Mangan - who now plays for Tranmere.
Town travel to Prenton Park for the friendly at the weekend (3pm kick-off) looking to finalise preparations ahead of the start of the Sky Bet League 1 season a week later. "It's going to be tough (in League One) but I think from last year and the players that we've added this year in pre-season means we're looking like a decent outfit," he said.
"There's confidence in the camp."
