"I have scored a few and that so hopefully it will be for Shrewsbury this time. I scored against Shrewsbury a couple of months ago, it was a very soft header."
Having scored against Town more than once in the past, Dodds is hoping to add goals for Micky Mellon's side next season.
"First and foremost I bring a bit of creativity and an eye for goal," said Dodds.
"I like to get on the ball and make things happen but I also like to work hard and put a shift in, and I think that is one of the things that the fans can look forward to seeing me do."
And he sees himself as a hard worker who can make things happen.
Dodds, who plays primarily as an attacking midfielder, scored eight times in 37 appearances for the Valiants last season.
"It is something that appealed to me and something that I can’t wait to get going on.
"I had spoken to a few clubs but from speaking to the manager he really sold it to me and it is one of the reasons that I came here."

Dodds, born in Sheffield, scored against Town for Vale at Greenhous Meadow last season.
The 29-year-old, who has spent the last eight seasons at Port Vale, becomes manager Micky Mellon's third signing of the summer.
