Tribute To Former Shrewsbury Town Supporter
G H Davies have specially designed and supplied the headstone with a tasteful tribute to Monty engraved with the Shrewsbury Town colours and Montgomeryshire crest on.After many months of painstaking organisation and with help from Sib Hayes, Shrewsbury Town fans, the people of Montgomery and G H Davies + Son of Shrewsbury, it has finally come to pass that Monty now has a fitting headstone.
Monty passed away without any family remaining, but his friends and fellow fans turned up to give him the send-off he deserved.
Many fans fondly remember Monty as the man who would walk to home games from his house in Montgomery, quite a feat when you consider it is over 20 miles away!
Friday 7th August will see the placing of Michael "Monty" Pryce Evans' headstone in his home town of Montgomery.
The service will start at 3pm if any fans would like to come along.
