"We will not be resting on that, we want to keep putting in performances and hopefully with that we will beat the record.”
The result at the weekend also meant Shrews levelled the club's record for clean sheets in the season, but Micky claims it's not just the back four but the whole team that should be proud of the accomplishment.
“If we had been offered this situation at the start of the season we would have bitten your hands off but we don’t believe we have achieved anything at all yet other than give ourselves a really good opportunity to bring some success to the football club.
“There is still work to be done, we are totally focused on that and we will not lose sight, and we will keep to the one half at a time way we have done all season and know we have to up to Bury and do very well to get something.”
He said: “We played very well (against Exeter). Both with the ball and without the ball we executed our game plan really well and picked up another important three points.
And despite the tremendous 4-0 win against Exeter at the weekend, Micky is keeping his eyes on the prize as, with four games to go, Town are just one point behind league leaders Burton Albion.
“We get on well, we are very close but it will be good to lock horns with him. It will be great to catch up with him but during the 90 minutes that will all get put to the side because we will both want to win."“We are both winning games so it has all the hallmarks of being a really competitive and good advertisement for the league,” explained Micky.
“Bury will be a different challenge. They are doing very well and we know it will be a tough game, but we need to just concentrate on what we do but we are all looking forward to the challenge.
“They are all big games now, but it will certainly be an exciting game because both sides are at the top end of the table and I am going up against my old mate Flicker (David Flitcroft).
David Flitcroft’s Shakers are currently trying to find a way into the last automatic promotion spot, winning five of their last six games to climb up to fourth, and Micky knows his team will have to be at their best if they are to return to Shropshire with anything for their efforts.
