Manager Excited To Lock Horns With The Owls
"Ogogo is nearly fit, he’s back running and bouncing about on Thursday, as is Wesolowski so that was good to see," said Micky."Ogogo was having quite a tough training session on Thursday, a multi directional one, so that’s good news.
"Wesolowski is getting well on now, he’s got the specialists to see next week and I expect him to maybe look to start joining in (full training) soon."
Micky also gave an update on the latest injury situation as Abu Ogogo and James Wesolowski continue their progress to return to first team action.
Striker Kyle Vassell and midfielder Richie Wellens will be cup-tied for Saturday's game.
"We’ll have a way of playing that we’ve decided that we were going to play," said Micky.
"We never react really to the last game unless, like at Burton, we were terrific and I couldn’t really change the team because you’ve got to let that team go again.
"But we always had a plan for this Sheffield Wednesday game, the way that we think we have to play because we have to respect the opposition.
"I have a few that are cup tied so there will be forced changes on us.
"But we’re going all out to try and get the result, we’re not going for anything else, we’re going to try and win the game."
Micky insisted the midweek defeat would have little bearing on his plans for Saturday's cup tie.
"We're still talking and working hard on that (consistency)," said Micky.
"We know what we’re capable of.
"We’re concentrating on that, but we know we’re more than capable of getting a result so that’s exciting.
"They (the players) seem to get a result in the cup, so it would be nice if we could get the results in the league as well.
"We seem to be able to find a way of getting results in these big games."
Micky insists Town are looking to bounce back from the defeat at home to Oldham Athletic on Tuesday night and find more consistency.
"It’s fantastic to be in the fourth round of the FA Cup," said Micky.
"It's a big home tie against a very good Championship team.
"We’re looking forward to the game, we’ll prepare properly and try and go out there and give a good account of ourselves and get to the next round.
"If we don’t think Sheffield Wednesday is a ‘glamour’ tie we’re off the mark there I think.
"It’s a fantastic tie, they're a massive football club.
"I know it’s not quite top four Championship but they’ve sold all their allocation of tickets, they’re a massive club.
"They’re doing fantastic in the division they’re in, they’ve got a manager who is very tactical and have got good players so it’s all there for us. It’s a great challenge."
And Micky believes the Owls, who have sold-out their allocation for the match, are a massive club and will make it a great occasion.
Town host the Championship side at Greenhous Meadow at the weekend (3pm kick-off) as they look to build on victories over Gainsborough Trinity, Grimsby Town and Cardiff City in previous rounds.
