Micky also confirmed that, apart from long-term absentees Andy Mangan, Nathaniel Knight-Percival and James Wesolowski, everybody would be fit and available for selection at the weekend.
"I know as well as anybody it will be difficult to go up there and get a result," he said.
"Micky Adams has got them fighting and battling away and they have got a few good results in the past weeks and months since he took over.
"I know it is going to be a difficult game, they have a lot to fight for as well.
"At this stage of the season it always going to be tense and tight so you have to be prepared to go there and roll your sleeves up.
"We will have to be prepared to win our individual battles and then hopefully when the game settles down we can start playing and go from there."
The SuperWhite Army have not won in their last three and sit just one place above the relegation zone, but Micky, who made over a century of appearances for Rovers, believes it will be another testing away trip.
"I always said the aim from day one was to take it one game at a time,” said Micky.
"We still have a third of the season left which is a lot of games, we will not lose out focus and nothing will change on that front.
"It is terrific that the work the boys have done has got us into a situation where we are top of the league but it is business as usual for us starting with a really difficult game up at Tranmere."
But even though Shrewsbury sit top of the league, Micky has demanded his players keep their minds off the league table and only on the next game
Town face the SuperWhite Army in Sky Bet League 2 at Prenton Park at the weekend (3pm kick-off) looking to extend their lead at the top of the table.
