Manager Predicts Good Game Of Football

Manager Micky Mellon predicts a good game of football under the floodlights when Shrewsbury Town face Walsall away on Tuesday night. Midfielder Ian Black, who suffered a late neck injury in the clash at Gillingham, did not train on Monday morning but is expected to be fit for the Walsall match.

On the injury front, Micky confirmed that Jermaine Grandison (hip) and James Wallace (knee) remain out.

"There's good players on each side, it's what football is all about. It's a local derby, under the floodlights, so let's get it on and look forward to it."

"It's a very tough game, but a local derby and we're very much looking forward to it," said Micky.

"They're always good games of football. It's under the lights and should add to the atmosphere, so it's a game you want to be involved in.

"From my point of view, it's two teams that play the game the way I like to see the game played.

And Micky expects to see two sides playing positive football in the midweek clash.

John Whitney's side also have plenty to play for as they look to make ground on the automatic promotion places.

Town take on the Saddlers in the Sky Bet League 1 clash at the Banks's Stadium (7.45pm kick-off) looking to confirm their status in the third tier of English football for next season.
