And Shrewsbury Town, who now have almost 29,000, were in the top ten for the highest per cent in growth of Twitter followers over the past year.
The Football League published figures on Thursday afternoon which showed social media stats for clubs in the Championship, League One and League Two.
Shrewsbury Town Football Club's official Twitter account saw a 74 per cent growth in its number of Followers over the past year.
