Leading independent builder sponsors youth team again
Yesterday Shropshire Homes presented a cheque to the club for their sponsorship of the youth team, it goes without saying that the youth system is a vital part of the whole club structure, providing us with players to safeguard the future of Shrewsbury Town. With the likes of Joe Hart, Dave Edwards, Connor Goldson and Ryan Woods passing through the youth system and into the first team and then generating money for the club through transfers at later dates, this proves that Shrewsbury Town, its youth team and academy are one of the best in the land for developing young talent.Howard Thorne MD of Shropshire Homes had this to say. “Shropshire Homes are pleased and proud to have renewed our sponsorship of the Shrewsbury Town Youth Team. We are great believers that one of the best ways for the Club to continue to flourish will be by developing young talent.
"We previously sponsored the Youth Team from 2000 to 2007 and during that period saw a number of players break in to the first team, notably local lads Dave Edwards and Joe Hart. We very much hope some of the present squad will have the same success”
