Town's recent good form continued with a comfortable win over Barnet at the Prostar Stadium.
Goals in the first half from Craig Disley and Steve Leslie gave Town a great platform but in the second half they were really pushed all the way by the visitors.
In the end Town came through with a clean sheet and the 3 points and after the game Paul Simpson was asked for his thoughts on the game: "I think it was a professional performance by the side this evening.
"We got put under pressure in the second half and we stopped passing and went a little bit too direct but it was a good win for us.
"Even though Barnet have been on a bad run they showed at the start of the season that they have good players, have pace and can score goals.
"It's another clean sheet, its two goals and I'm delighted with the result."
Town's first goal was an excellent finish from Craig Disley but the move showed a great patience through the build up.Simmo was pleased with the goal and hopes Disley will take confidence from it: "I said to Dis before the game that he was brought in to be a goal scoring midfielder and can he get his runs in and around Dave Hibbert and see if he can get himself a goal.
"It was a great run and a great header for the goal and I'm delighted for him because he has worked hard but has been unfortunate with a few injuries.
"He's kept plugging away though and now I'm hoping that this little roll will suit him."
The second goal came from Steve Leslie and is his second in as many games.Steve has always shown he has ability it's now up to him to continue to show it: "It was a fantastic finish but I have to say that I wasn't sure it had gone in as he hit to so hard.
"I thought it had gone over the bar but I was delighted when everyone started to celebrate
"It was a great finish from Steve and we've been saying to him since I've been here that he has that in his locker and is capable of doing it.
"I don't expect it every week but we've had it two games running so hopefully he can do it three games running."
The second half saw Barnet come more to the fore as an attacking force and really took the game to Town. The home side held strong though and despite all the pressure Dave Button's goal was rarely tested:"I wouldn't say that we played particularly well in the second half but we defended really well.
"I can't remember Dave Button having a real save to make, he came and dealt with a few crosses and claimed a few balls that came into the box.
"We needed to be a little bit more patient and needed someone to get their foot on the ball and have that little extra pass but went a little bit too long a little bit too early.
"Dave Hibbert was running a little bit on empty and didn't feel particularly well but he did all we asked of him.
"There are things that we can learn from the second half but all in all we are delighted with the three points."
The result keeps Town recent good run of form going and Simmo hopes his side can take it into the weekends game with Hereford at the Prostar: "It's a local derby and we let ourselves down in the way we went about things in the game at Hereford earlier in the season.
"We need to go about it in the way that we have done in recent away games, I want a determined performance.
"I want a bit better football; we've shown that in the first half tonight and hopefully we can show that again on Saturday in front of our own supports."
