Paul Simpson sticks with the same squad that did so well in the midweek, to get past Barnet 2-0, as they look to keep the recent good form going.

Town had a good effort on the Hereford game with just one minute on the clock after Disley did well to win a corner. It was Disley who put in the delivery but it was cleared back to him, he then put in a better ball which Shane Cansdell-Sherriff got his head to and looped a shot over Bartlett but it fell just wide of the target.

It was the visitors though who took the lead with just 4 minutes on the clock, the ball found Constantine in behind the Town defence and he did well to hold off the challenges before driving in a low shot that Button got a hand to but he couldn't keep it out and the ball rolled home.

Town where nearly back on level terms a minute later when the ball found Dave Hibbert bursting in to the box, he drove in a low shot which took a slight deflection but it was enough to take it just wide of the target.

All the pressure was coming from Town and Disley and Neil combined well to win a corner. The first saw Constantine get a foot in to diver the ball over for another corner. The next saw Coughlan rise well but his header was put behind for another corner. With this one though Langmead got up highest and put in downward header that went through the crowd of players and into the back of the net to make it 1-1.

On 23 minutes Town were two goals to the good with a lovely finish from a set-piece.Steve Leslie floated over a free-kick from just outside the Bulls box, Shane Cansdell-Sherriff rose well to put an excellent header which flew straight into the top corner.

Town were looking comfortable and were snuffing out any of the attacking play that the visitors were throwing at them.At the other end Town were really stretching the Bulls defence and had some real good sights of the goal. Two of these fell to Coughlan and both were from corners, the first a snap volley that had to cleared off the line and then a downward header which looped up and over the bar.

Hereford were showing a little more fight as the half came near to end and were trying to push Town back. The home side though were digging in and getting the tackles in when they were needed.

Half-time: 2-1

It was a bright opening to the half with both sides getting he ball down and trying to get the opposition. Both sides had good pressure around the opponents box but neither keeper was really tested. There was a moment of light relief for the Town fans though when Kenny Lunt went down a little easily on the edge of the box, ref Sutton agreed and produced a yellow card.

Steve Leslie and Lewis Neal were switching flanks every now and again during the game and this was causing the Bulls a number of problems. When the ball came to Leslie out on the left touchline but did well to spin his marker and then power in on goal, he rode one challenge before driving in a good looking drive which flew over the target.

Hereford were making it hard for Town and the game had gone into a little bit of lull but there were still chances for both side.Shane Cansdell-Sherriff had a great little shot across the face of goal and Craig Disley curled in decent effort after showing good strength to create the space. At the other end Dave Button had to be alert when Constantine fired in a low drive from out side the box but Button was down at the base of his post to smoother the shot.

Jake Robinson had come on as a replacement for Craig Disley and he almost made an immediate impact. Good work down the left from Lewis Neal saw him cut to the by-line and cross deep top find Robinson, he looped a head back across which came off the bar and back to Neal, he then fizzed a ball across that Robinson met well but the pace of the ball took the header wide of the target.

Town then showed their counter attacking play with two great breaks that pulled Hereford apart, the first with Robinson breaking down the right and then moments later Lewis Neal broke down the same side but on both occasions Town just missed that clinical play around the Bulls box.

Town's patience and work paid off with an excellent third goal from another set piece.Jake Robinson had done really well to jink and trick the Hereford defence before winning a corner.Leslie waited for the big guns to come up and delivered a great ball towards Coughlan, he got a head to it but it was blocked but Coughlan was alert and stabbed a foot in to put the ball home and make it 3-1 to Town.

Full-time: 3-1
