There is just the one change to the side that started against Crewe on Saturday with Kelvin Langmead coming in to replace the injured Graham Coughlan.

It was a pretty even opening 10 minutes with both sides having good spells of possession and attacking play.Cheltenham probably had the better of the possession with Town having the better of the chances on goal.

Cheltenham had a good chance to grab the lead after a lapse in the Town defence handed them a great opening. The ball was played over the top of the Town defence to turn the home side, Holden looked to have the ball under control and was shepherding out for a goal kick but Elito nicked in to steal possession, he laid the ball back to set-up a low shot but Dave Button was down quickly to smoother the shot.

Town's best sight of goal was a header from Kelvin Langmead from a corner which whizzed over.Cheltenham though were having the better of the attacking play and Justin Richards created a couple of chances but the home side were still holding out strongly.

Half-time: 0-0

There were good sights of goal for both sides after the restart, first Jake Simpson smashed in a vicious shot cum cross to the near post that Brown did well to stop, and then at the other end a David Bird free-kick curled over the wall and then skimmed over the Town bar.

The visitors had another good chance to grab the lead with 10 minutes of the half gone, they broke quickly down the centre of the park with Joss Low, he nicked a lovely ball in behind the defence for Richards to run onto, he put in a low shot but Button had come quickly to save a certain goal. Then moments later there was a bigger let off for Town when Joss Low once again broke down the centre of the park and this time hit in a great shot that beat Button but hit the inside of the post and rolled across the goal and Town cleared there lines.

Paul Simpson made a double substitution bringing on Benjamin Van Den Broek and Steve Leslie to replace Lewis Neal and Jake Simpson.Van Den Broek had an instant impact on the game with blistering pace down the right that created a chance that should have seen Town take the lead.Van Den Broek collected the ball and then sped past Leito and kept going, he drove a vicious cross across the face of the goal that found Steve Leslie but he failed to connected cleanly and put the ball wide of the mark.

Town were growing as an attacking force and the ball was played over to Holden, he broke into the box and pulled it back to Langmead, he scouped the ball back to Cureton who smashed in a great shot but it flew agonisingly over the bar. Then moments later another great chance for Town when Leslie flew down the right and drove over a great cross that Cureton connected with but Brown was there to make the all important save.

Town were pushing and pushing looking to get the win and they were throwing everything they could at the visitors. This did mean though that there was space for the visitors to break into and on a number of occasions they broke at Town and were close converting one of those attacks.

Full-time: 0-0

A flat first half saw the game burst into life in the second half but Town couldn't convert a number of chances and only come away with a point
